What US FEC operators and partners say about Valo Motion attractions

Operation

Mixed reality

Revenue generation

Valo Motion is heading into its 10th year. Ten years of mixed reality attractions, thousands of installations, and over 300,000 plays per day around the world. The most honest measure of that track record isn't a number but the people who install and run indoor entertainment venues every single day and choose to put Valo Motion solutions on their floors.

We caught up with five of them recently. Three are FEC operators running Valo Motion attractions in their venues across the United States. Two are long-term business partners who design and install entertainment destinations for location-based entertainment venues across North America. All five had something specific to say about what Valo Motion attractions in the USA actually look like in practice.

Here's what they told us.

Jim Lewis, Owner, AREA 254, Killeen, Texas

Jim Lewis opened AREA 254 in December 2023. It's a full-sized FEC with bowling, laser tag, bumper cars, a big arcade, ValoArena, ValoJump, and food delivered by robots. By the time he met us at IAAPA 2025, he had a full year of ValoArena experience behind him.

His take: "I don't remember ever needing to contact anybody at Valo Motion, because Valo Motion products just work."

Jim does his homework before any major investment. He talked to other operators before buying ValoArena, and every single one came back with the same answer: no issues. That consistency gave him the confidence to commit. One year in, the ValoArena never breaks down, kids want to play again and again, and the experience was reliable enough to give him the confidence to add ValoJump. He's also making a deliberate call on pricing, moving ValoArena from pay-per-swipe into an all-inclusive pass. "ValoArena makes us a lot of money," he said, "so to take it out and make it part of a pass is a significant gamble. But we feel confident it will be the right thing to do."

Eyal Farage, Owner, RPM Raceway

When ValoArena launched in the United States, RPM Raceway's Farmingdale, Long Island location was the first venue in the country to install it. They were so impressed in the first four months that they went to IAAPA 2022 and bought a second one off the show floor.

At the time we caught up with Eyal, he had been running ValoArena for over three years.

His review: "The maintenance part of it (ValoArena) is zero. And I'm not kidding with you. Zero."

ValoArena is self-operating, runs multiple games, and draws kids in for birthday parties while giving adults a reason to play alongside them. When other operators ask Eyal whether to buy one, his answer is: call him, come visit on a weekend, and see it yourself. He also noted that ValoArena works alongside almost any lead attraction. RPM leads with go-karts. ValoArena holds its own right next to them. "It would fit to almost any facility," he said.

Matt Mullen, Founder, Empire Adventure Park, Westbury, New York

Matt Mullen built his 35,000 sq ft FEC in Westbury, New York, around one operating idea: digital meets physical. He had Valo Motion in his venue plans before the park ever opened. His first encounter with the attractions was at IAAPA. He walked past, saw them in action, and wanted to buy them on the spot.

Empire Adventure Park now runs ValoArena, ValoClimb, and two ValoJump. Matt describes the systems as "bulletproof." They run on a set schedule, turn on and off automatically, update regularly, and have no headsets or controllers. "Set them up and go," he said. That simplicity directly lowers his operational costs compared to other technology-based attractions he runs, where parts wear out and staff attention is constantly required.

The attractions also do their own marketing. People passing the mall windows stop, look, walk in, and come back to play again.

Matt's word for what keeps them returning: repeatability. His recommendation to any operator: "Oh yeah, buy this."

William Anglin, Co-founder, Next Level Parks, Anderson, South Carolina

William Anglin has been installing Valo Motion products since 2017. Eight years of hands-on experience that he brought with him when he co-founded Next Level Parks, a company that designs, manufactures, and installs indoor play equipment for FECs, trampoline parks, and indoor adventure parks across the United States.

When we asked what he leads with when recommending Valo Motion to other operators, he didn't mention the technology first. He mentioned the service team.

Specifically, remote monitoring. Valo Motion's system flags issues before the client even knows something is wrong.

"A lot of the time, the Valo Motion team knows something's going on before the client might even know something's going on," William said.

For someone who built his company on responsive service, that alignment is the deciding factor. "I would definitely point that out as something that would lead me to recommend Valo Motion as a company."

Armando Lanuti, President, Creative Works, Indianapolis, Indiana

Creative Works operates a 70,000 sq ft facility in Indianapolis, where they design, manufacture, and install full entertainment destinations for FEC operators across the US. They have been in business since 1997. When Armando toured attractions looking for something active, screen-integrated, built for a wide age range, and tech-forward, ValoArena stood out clearly.

"We toured a lot of different attractions, and ValoArena was just better than everything else we saw." said Armando

In 2024, Creative Works became the authorized distributor in North America for Valo Motion’s ValoArena.

The partnership gave both Valo Motion and Creative Works access to new markets while strengthening what they could offer their existing clients. On ValoArena itself, Armando is specific: "Valo Motion found a very great balance of quality, price, and experience, and it has been consistent across everything we've worked on together." He has visited the Valo Motion team in Finland, built real working trust across both organizations, and looks forward to what the two companies bring to the industry next.

What these five have in common

The stakeholders are different. The roles are different. But the pattern across all five conversations is the same: the products hold up, the operations stay simple, and you can rely on these to help your business grow.
