Being 'serious about fun' means that we strive to be great at what we do but at the same time we are not machines, we are people, too. Being able to have a laugh with others in a laid back, supportive, and inclusive environment is just as important as accountability, independence, and a serious attitude to our business.
We are also dedicated to our global mission of getting people, especially kids, moving through mixed-reality technology. Our team is passionately working towards this goal while ensuring a playful and enjoyable work atmosphere. We value understanding the joy our games bring to kids and find pleasure in creating them. We work in a hybrid model, and we’d love to see you time to time at our office in the lovely Lauttasaari in Helsinki.
Yes! We have all 3 of our mixed reality attractions – ValoClimb, ValoJump, and ValoArena in our mini-park ValoHalli, downstairs in the same building as our office in Lauttasaari, Helsinki. This is where, for instance, our Game Developers & Artists test their ideas to practice. It’s important for us that our team knows our products and gets to experience the fun in it!
Our company language is English and that’ll do! You don’t have to speak Finnish to thrive at Valo Motion.
Fun fact: our team speaks 15 different languages!
Valo Motion participates globally in trade show events that are essential to our business in the attraction industry. It’s important also for newcomers to learn about the industry and for example, in September 2023, we flew team members to Vienna, Austria to take part in the IAAPA expo to represent the company and learn from our customers!
Yes, you can! We know that many game developers working in the gaming industry only get to create small parts of a game that might never see the light of day.
At Valo Motion, both early-career and experienced employees get to build new games from start to finish. The gaming world in which customers play could be entirely designed, drawn, or coded by you.
