"Physical activity and gaming combine in a new genre of hybrid sports" is how Neal Romanek, editor of FEED magazine, describes Valo Motion and our newly launched ValoLeague.
Thank you Neal for this great opportunity to talk about the opportunities around supercharging sports events by using technology to blur the lines between the physical and digital world to foster health around the globe.
Empowering people to find the joy of movement
Neal points out that the game experience expresses that we are passionate about the sports we gamify. While our "mixed-reality games are family-friendly, a layer of competition and challenge appeals to seasoned climbers". The idea behind rolling out ValoLeagueas a global eSports league is to cherry sports and the fun of movement, for all people and skill levels.
ValoLeague with its ValoClimb and ValoJump challenges, moves season by season to sports enthusiast towards a platform to not only train and improve their skills, but become part of a community that boost each other to new rights, despite travel restrictions, to emphasize on sports and fun as a key driver, not the players’ location. At the same time active indoor facilities, family entertainment centers, and gyms can provide their visitors with a local sports event that fosters physical activity and health.
Every champion started training because they fell in love with a sport. We hope our games spark the same for many more future champions.
